A girl's favorite love story: Her Own
Do you believe in love at first site? Do you believe in knowing that someone will be the love of your life on the day you meet them? I do! I took a chance and went on a double date with Jakeb, his sister and her fiancé at the time. We went to Ted's Cafe Escondido in Tulsa and then to watch The Hunger Games at the theater. After the movie, we jumped into his truck, he leaned in to kiss me and I leaned in to hug him, it ended in a laugh and a second try. Then he took me to the center of the universe in downtown Tulsa where we walked and talked for a while. When we left we drove around and sat in the Walmart parking lot until 5am. It was the best date I have ever had. From that day on I knew he would be my husband. A couple of months later I moved to McAlester to begin our journey together. Three months after I moved to McAlester he woke me up at 2:30am, took me in his truck to the land where we like to drive around. We laid in the back of his truck, listening to music, and talking. He then turned on one of my favorite songs and we danced under the stars. When the song was over, he started talking about life, during his talk he was shaking and I asked him if he was okay. He said he was just cold. I should have known something was up because he is never cold. He then got down on one knee and proposed. It was one of the best nights of my life. We started planning and organizing for our wedding and six months later we got married. It was the best day of my life despite all the little things that went wrong. We have now spent the last four years getting to know one another and building our life together. We have since bought a house and adopted three cats and three dogs. I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else. And, soon we will be bringing new life into this world and adding a new best day to our story. Welcoming Baby Emery x2 in October 2018.
